Dial-A-Story
Dial-A-Story is a fun, interactive storytelling experience. Using the specially crafted Penguin Phone Booth, famous authors share their own personal, intimate stories with you – and give you the chance to share your own story with the rest of Australia. To participate, simply pick up the handset on the Penguin Phone Booth and listen. You can dial one of five authors – John Safran, Jamie Durie, Graeme Base, Maggie Beer or Father Bob Maguire – and hear an intimate story from the author's own life. These are never-before-heard stories that give a unique glimpse into these authors' lives. Then it's your turn – the authors will invite you to leave your own story. By sharing a moment from your own life, you will join an ever-growing archive of wonderful Australian stories, stored and shared online at
