Interactive Window Display with Docklands Library

The Augmented View - Ground floor window of the Library at The Dock Adding text to the window transforms the view from a picture to a story. The words in the window are all titles of classic books, but they also refer to features of the real-world scene outside. Exactly how the stories and the real world fit together is up to you. Some connections will be easy to spot. Some require imagination. And the story world can change again and again – depending on the mood you're in, your angle of approach, or who you're with. Ask your friends what they can see. You'll be surprised by just how different the same story can look to different people. Head out onto the deck. Take a photo. The Docklands Library & Community Centre is the centrepiece of Docklands’ new civic heart and will be a world-class, next generation library and community centre.

It will set new benchmarks by utilising wireless, satellite and tablet technology platforms and offering spaces that the broader community can access such as function and performance spaces.

It is the blueprint for a library of the future and Penguin Books Australia is excited to work with the City of Melbourne to create a window display that promotes reading and works in harmony with the buildings’ surrounds.
